How to Build the Perfect Jobbio Profile

By December 19, 2018For Talent

If you want to find a job this year, you need to perfect your Jobbio profile.

Thankfully, we’re here to help you show off your experience and put your best foot forward. Follow our tips below and you will have a killer profile page in no time.

1. Start with the basics

First things first, you’ll need to head to Jobbio.com and sign up. It only takes two minutes and you can even do it on your mobile. Add in your basic info like name, current company and job title.

2. Build from there

If you’ve already got a CV you can simply import it into your Jobbio profile. Your information will automatically appear and you can then make any amendments that you might need. Unlike other platforms, your Jobbio profile is always live. This means that you can update it at any time (even after you’ve applied for a role!).

3.  Introduce yourself

On your Jobbio profile, you get the chance to add an introduction. This is your chance to tell brands about yourself and what you can do. This is the first thing that employers will see so make sure you keep it interesting and snappy. Oh, and don’t forget to add a little personality. No one wants to hire a robot.

4. Show off your experience

This is your chance to demonstrate all the fantastic experience that you have. You can include things like previous jobs, internships and volunteer work. Anything that will help you to stand out from the crowd. Don’t be humble!

5. Education station

The next step is to add your education. Include the schools you went to, the dates you attended, and your average grades. If you did a semester abroad or undertook a night class make sure that you include them too.

6. Add your skills

This step is really important. After you’ve added your education you can start to add your skills (both hard and soft). We use your list of skills to help find jobs that are suitable for you so make sure that this is always relevant and up-to-date. Once you learn something new, add it to your profile.

7. Bring in some multimedia

If you really want to bring your profile to life then you should add some multimedia content. On Jobbio you can add videos and URL links to your profile. So, if you’re a writer you can add your portfolio or if you’re a videographer you can share your Youtube videos. It is the 21st century after all.

8. Start applying

Once your profile is finished you can start applying for jobs. On Jobbio, you can search for jobs by location and sector or follow our dedicated jobs channels. If you find a company that you really love you can follow their profile to stay updated on their current roles.

9. Network, network, network

Networking is an important part of any job hunt. Stay up to date on relevant topics in your field, join important discussions online and attend relevant careers events like Jobbio HIGHER at Dublin Tech Summit. These events will help you to gain important contacts and meet the people behind the brands.

Happy job hunting!
