6 reasons why cats are better than your colleagues

By October 29, 2019For Talent

To celebrate International Cat Day we’re reflecting on the glorious traits of our furry overlords and honing in on the ones that make them desirable candidates in the corporate world.

Here’s our shortlist of why cats would be a meowsive asset around the office.

They’re independent

Self-starters with plenty of ambition, cats don’t need extensive onboarding or constant check ins to keep them motivated, they’re happy to get on with work on their own terms. They don’t like to admit defeat and are willing to put in whatever hours it takes to get a project over the line, even when they’re out on their paws.

They don’t suffer fools

You don’t have to worry about cats hiding their feelings from you. If you’ve annoyed them, they’ll make it apparent. Unforgivingly apparent.

They’re resourceful

Cats won’t be held back by an apparent lack of skills, knowledge or expertise, they’ll procure the necessary information from wherever they can.

They’re industrious

Our feline friends don’t wait for opportunities to come to them, they get out there and make them happen. They have a steely determination and a work ethic that just won’t quit. Exhibit A:

They’re well turned out

Another wonderful trait of cats is that they take a lot of pride in their appearance making them a pawfect representative of your brand.

They’re hilarious

Cats are guaranteed to lift your spirits around the office with their gas antics. Whether they’re pushing the boundaries in a daring outfit or tearing a coworker down to size, they’re sure to provide some well needed comic relief, even in the most stressful of workplaces.
