How to set your Out Of Office for Paddy’s Day (in Irish, of course)

By March 15, 2021Trending

Sure, for the week that’s in it!

This week, we celebrate St Patrick’s Day here in Ireland, and all over the world I suppose. Cities dotted all over the globe will go green in celebration of this fabulous Island of ours.

And if you are taking a couple of days off, or simply just the 17th, you will have to set an out of office. This year, why not get on board with the theme, and do your OOO in Irish (with a direct English translation of course, for anyone that may not understand).

Here’s a template for you to use:

“Dia Duit,

Tá súil agam go bhfuil seachtain iontach agat. Táim as an oifig inniu ag ceiliúradh lá Naomh Pádraig.

Tabharfaidh mé freagra duit a luaithe a fhillfidh mé. Cuir glaoch orm le haghaidh aon fhiosrúcháin phráinneacha (pop your number in here). Bíodh

Lá Fhéile Pádraig sábháilte agus sona agat.

Gach dea-ghuí,

Your name.”

Translates to:

“Hi there,

I hope you’re having a great week. I am out of the office today celebrating St Patricks day.

I will reply to you as soon as I return. For any urgent enquiries please call me.

Have a safe and happy St Patrick’s Day!

Best wishes,

Rebecca”

Happy Paddy’s Day, have a good one folks!
