Online dating is a bit of a minefield. What pictures do you choose for your profile? How do you describe yourself in witty succinct sentences that make you sound confident but not arrogant? Should you make the first move?
One thing that you probably haven’t agonised over is whether or not you should include your job in your bio.
Well, maybe you should because according to new research certain jobs are more likely to get that all important swipe right.
Badoo, the dating app that boasts more than 380 million users worldwide conducted a survey to find out the most appealing careers for both men and women.
The most swiped right job for men was a Chef, followed by Engineer and Entrepreneur respectively.
At the top of the female list was Hairdresser with Nurse and Lawyer coming in second and third.
Interesting, the only crossover on both lists was Entrepreneur. Clearly being your own boss is seen as an asset.
Here are the full results:
Men
- Chef
- Engineer
- Entrepreneur
- Marketing
- Artist
Women
- Hairdresser
- Nurse
- Lawyer
- Entrepreneur
- Teacher
The study was conducted by collecting data from 5,000 British Badoo users between the ages of 18 and 30.
However, the findings should obviously be taken with a pinch of salt.
In a study released by Tinder last year the most popular jobs for men were, Lawyer, Actor and Creative Director. While for women they were Teacher, Dentist and Speech Pathologist.
