4 reasons why Monday is the best day of the week (yes, really)

By January 11, 2021For Talent

Monday isn’t that bad folks.

Listen, I know, this all sounds like a bit of a stretch. Your weekend is over, and you’re exhausted having to get up for work every Monday morning. I don’t blame you. HOWEVER, Monday has a bad reputation for being the worst day of the week, and I’m here to change this perception.

So instead of dreading Mondays, see them as an opportunity – your general outlook on your working week will change completely!

New Start

We all have those weeks where we’re just not super productive, and that’s okay. Why? Because when you start work again on Monday morning, after a weekend of relaxing, you have the chance to reset, and start again with a bit more pep in your step. Monday can be the best day as you regain your focus to push for your goals.

Get Ahead

Monday is a great day to really throw yourself into your tasks, and get ahead of yourself for the week. Tick loads of boxes on a Monday, and your future self will be most grateful. Plus, it means by Friday, you can take it easy enough, as you won’t be overwhelmed.

Best Meeting Day

Why? Well, because the weekend just gone serves you as a very easy ice breaker. If you organise a meeting with your boss, or a client, for Monday morning, you can start the conversation by asking them how their weekend was. Plus, it gets the meeting out of the way – which is always nice.

Routines

Mondays are a great opportunity to start a new routine, or add something to your current routine. It’s weird, but I personally struggle to ‘start something new’ on a Wednesday for whatever reason. So if you plan on making a smoothie before work, or going on a walk every lunch time, Monday is the best day to start!

Now, go and have the best week ever!
