Here are some delicious coffee alternatives to put a pep in your step!

Listen, don’t get me wrong, the world would be a devastating place without coffee. So many people rely on it to wake up in the morning (ourselves included), however, it is not for everyone.

For many, a high amount of caffeine can cause nervousness and agitation, also known as “the jitters.” For others, coffee can cause digestive distress and headaches.

So while we love the sweet coffee elixir, it should be something we consume in moderation. Thankfully, there are loads of great alternative hot drinks that will put a pep in our step first thing in the morning.

Lemon Water

Making the move away from coffee doesn’t have to involve mixing up complicated drinks – it can be as simple as popping a slice of lemon into hot water. It’s calorie- and caffeine-free and provides an ample dose of vitamin C. A great start to any morning.

Matcha Latte

Matcha is a form of green tea made by steaming, drying and grinding the leaves of the plant into a fine powder. The best part is you can actually do so much with it – even make a gorgeous latte

Chicory Coffee

Much like our beloved coffee, chicory root can be roasted, ground and brewed into a divine hot beverage that actually tastes very similar to coffee but is caffeine-free.

Golden Milk

This is by far my favourite drink on this list! Golden milk is a rich, caffeine-free substitute to coffee that is filled with invigorating spices like ginger, cinnamon, turmeric and black pepper.  One of the best coffee alternatives going, I promise.

Chai Tea

Chai tea is a type of black tea that has been blended with delicious herbs and spices, to create an unusual but comforting flavour. It does contain caffeine, but significantly less than a cup of coffee. Plus, it’s like a hug in a mug.

Oh, and if you are looking for something to listen to while you enjoy your DELICIOUS coffee alternatives, here are some brilliant podcasts we highly recommend.
