Jobbio’s CEO Discusses “Game Changing” Partnership

By April 7, 2017For Companies

We started Jobbio with a simple but ambitious idea, to reimagine hiring. We wanted to change how people find and apply for jobs to get more people doing what they love. Our story, our focus, has always been about bringing people together, about acknowledging the potential of a person beyond a piece of paper.

From a handful of hungry Jobbions in 2015, we’ve grown our talented team across Dublin, London, New York and Canada, murdering CVs as we go. We now help more than 4,500 companies connect with relevant talent, and in doing so have become the fastest growing careers marketplace in the world, with 100,000 new users joining each month.

Today I’m delighted to announce another exciting chapter of our story, a partnership with IDG, the UK’s biggest tech portfolio. IDG publish in 97 countries and have a collective UK readership of 13.5 million technology professionals. Our collaboration will see Jobbio becoming the exclusive jobs business for IDG publications Techworld, Computerworld and Digital Arts.

For me, a partnership is only viable if it solves a problem and adds real value to those involved. That’s what we’re doing with IDG and the result is game changing.

When publications lost classifieds, they lost an important source of revenue. Through the IDG job channels we’re now bringing bigger and better traffic and revenue to media businesses. We’re creating engaging careers content relevant to IDG’s existing professional audience and creating a dynamic jobs marketplace for tech talent and companies.

We are working closely with the IDG team to create a modern and profitable jobs business for media, not one built on job posting but one built on a platform of discovery. A platform where companies can showcase themselves in an authentic and attractive way, while talent can inject personality and passion into an otherwise dull application process.

We’re giving our clients exclusive access to the most relevant, engaged tech talent in the UK and an employer branding team that will showcase their companies in a unique and entertaining way.

It means more content, more jobs and more talent than ever before. It’s the future for media companies and for us, it’s just the beginning.
